1907 miles to date!  Mile "0" of the Alaskan Highway - heading west and north.  We met up with my parents last night at the Mile "0" Campground, took care of all the housekeeping things with the camper and our laundry, etc. now we are on the road again. We spent about an hour at the Pioneer Village at the campground.   Mile "0" historical marker Pioneer Village in Dawson Creek, BC Not long after Dawson Creek, my two least favorite parts of travel came together - a four mile long winding descent with 6-10% grades followed immediately by a long metal grate suspension bridge.   Gorgeous views and it wasn't as bad as it looked. Sunset in Saskatchewan. A couple hours later - the horizon is still aglow. Ken has been averaging 700miles per day, driving.  Late last night, we were amazed by the long long sunset.  Even at 11pm, we could see the red-orange on the western horizon and the deep blue to the south.  As we approached Llyodminster, AB, I noticed the brilliant dancing colors of the Aurora Borealis to the north.  What a phenomenon! The northern lights and the "midnight sun" together on the Canadian prairie.  Ken pulled over, we got the kids out of the car to see and he set up the camera.  He had taken photos of the Lights in Iceland back in April, so he know what he needed to do to get good photos. They aren't downloaded yet, but we will share them when we can. We spend about 40 minutes watching the Lights and getting pictures (and applying bug repellent)..  Then we made camp at the Walmart in Lloydminster.  Tim Hortons for coffee, "steeped tea", and a box of Timkins th...
